The company was established as camera makers for wholesale and retail in 1890 in Leeds, UK by Adolphus and Henry Lonsdale. After Adolphus left business in 1899, Henry moved business to London. In 1906 Lonsdale Brothers company was taken over by James Christie of Sheffield and lost its Lonsdale name. |
