Wilhelm Kengott started manufacturing lenses and shutters in Paris, c1895. He was the original inventor of the Koilos shutter, manufactured and distributed by Gauthier brothers. Later, in c1902 he opened a "Wilhelm Kengott" company in Stuttgart, Germany. Even though Wilhelm died in 1919, this company continued to manufacture cameras until about 1932. |
