Wondering if anyone has any information on the following camera.
It's Fixed-focus, hand-held magazine box camera with a leather plate changing bag by Samuels, made in Germany.
I have attached a photo of it. I have done my research and the one and only thing I found was one in the science museum collection. But there isn't many details.

Has anyone heard of it? I found one in a collection and it's in good condition. It's unusual to be able to find out so little about something online. I know very little about this era of cameras.

Re: Samuels Made in Germany
So after some more research it looks like a company called Stirn put a camera which looks pretty much identical into production in 1891. "Detective Magazine Camera by Stirn, c. 1891
R. Stirn, Berlin. Probably the smallest detective camera in the world, 6 x 8 cm, for 12 cassettes, lens Aplanat, guillotine shutter"
I am wondering if the version I have by Samuels is a pre production of the Stirn.
Looks like it's probably quite rare. I have no idea of the value. If anyone has any interest or more information I would be interested to hear.

Re: Samuels Made in Germany
I don't think I can add very much but it seems to me that Samuels might not have been a producer of cameras, I can not find anything on the company as a camera manufacturer, maybe Samuels was a camera distributor/shop that had other companies make branded cameras. The Stirn detective camera looks indeed like a very close copy of your camera. Congratulations with your find.
