Any Ideas on what this camera is?

I just recently got this camera and I have not seen anything similar my best guess is it’s a Houghton ensign camera, my best guess is the 3 1/4 box camera. Unfortunately the where camera logo would be at the front is missing. Also I am unable to know what the serial number is because there are around 4 of them all different. If anybody has an answer I will appreciate it.
