I'm thinking of trading in my D200 for a D300 or D700. The D200 body is in almost new condition in the original box with all cables, documentation, and DVD.
1) How much should I expect from an average dealer on a trade-in?
2) If I decide to sell it myself, what would be a reasonable selling price?
3) An acquaintance told me there's not enough difference between the D200 and D300 to make the change worth while; he said I shouldn't bother unless I'm willing to go all the way to the D700. Any knowledgeable opinion on that would be welcome as well.
Thanks.

Re: Nkon D200 Body
Dear RPC,
This site deals with collectible film cameras only. Unfortunately digitals ones are not presented here.
But here is my personal opinion about the question #3, since I am a long-time user of digital SLRs: if the D200->D300 will cost you more than $300, don't. I think the main advantage of D300 is a CMOS sensor vs a CCD one in D200, hence the more clarity (not because of extra 2mp). Everything else is not a big step up, your friend is right. Oh, yeah... the live is nice to have if you are professionally shooting many similar items.
