Serial N° 1400343 (1933) Sold on Ebay Sept 9 for 416 US$
EISS SUPER NETTEL I Dresden and Jena Germany. Serial N° Y. 30442. 1934. One of the Very First Original models of this beautiful and rare camera. With Excellent Zeiss Tessar f:3.5 5cm. four element lens. Serial N° 1400343 (1933) and "Contax Type" Focal Plane Shutter with speeds from 1/5 sec. to 1/1,000 sec. B. (and T. by depressing and slightly turning the Shutter release button). In Exceptional original condition internally and externally, Fully working "ready to use" Condition. The Tessar len is Clear. No fungus, scratches or cleaning marks. Only a slight amount of internal dust as to be expected in a 75+ year old lens. The Focal Plane shutter is in excellent condition and works at all Speeds and appears to be accurate. The Coupled Rangefinder with contrasting light blue and orange filters is accurate. The camera uses an Helical Focusing System (the entire lens moves together). This sytem allows more accurate focusing than "front element only" cameras. The All Metal Body and Bright Chrome Elements have no dents and only some very small chips on the bottom edge of the right corner and very slight almost invisible bright marks. There is a slight "brassing" on the very edges of the wind and rewind knobs and the tips of the strap eyelets. Really not disturbing and less evident than in the enlarged photos. The Very attractive "Art Deco" front panel is perfect (photo 11). The Fine Pebble grained black Moroccan Leather covering is complete. There are No "Zeiss Bumps" and only a few light marks on the back and slight signs of age. The Genuine Leather Bellows folds perfectly and are in Excellent condition. Internally there are light signs the camera has been carefully used. The Super Nettel comes with a hard to find Zeiss film cassette (photos 9 &10). Of course it can also use standard 35mm film. Purchased in the 1960's as a collectible for display and always stored properly. This is the Original Version of the Super Nettel and was produced for only a very short time and in limited examples. It is Rare to find the camera with the Tessar lens. Most were sold with the less costly Triotar.
