1957-1960. This is the last screw-mount model of the Leica cameras. Same as the IIIf but with a larger viewfinder which had a "bright" functionality (introduction of bright lines from an additional window). Gold-plated cameras with lizard skin were made on a special order, or were painted later by other shops. The origins of the gold IIIg are still questioned. Some plating was applied by J.S. Maizenberg around 1992.
